Okay ... I work across the street from a Starbucks. Everytime I walk by or buy something from Starbucks, I see a bunch of people just sitting there ... Some of them are with a friend, some are alone, reading a magazine or on their laptops. It kinda gets under my nerves, I don't get what's so special about sitting in a coffee shop for hours ... Seems like a waste of time to me ...

I recently moved from Neberaska to Washington D.C. and around where I live most kids are black, I need help because I can talk fine with white people but black people are kinda hard to understand. Please, I'm not racist, it's just that I grew up with white people and really need help talking with black people.
What are some topics black people might like more than other races? What's expected of white people according to black people?

I received this scam from a person claiming to be a model from Liverpool, family killed in car crash, now on assignment in Nigeria but manager at May Sun Full Hotel taken her travel documents because she doesn't have money to pay... the ex boyfriend ran off with her pay cheque she'd asked him to catch (honestly, do these people really think we are all born stupid?)... and when the scam was exposed, sent threatening emails telling me to keep quiet or die (hey all gonna die sometime)... so wanted to give a little publicity to the scam and curious to know who else has been targeted.

I grew up in a completely white neighborhood. I myself am white. Growing up, I was exposed to racism in every form: towards black people, mexicans, middle-easterners, you name it, people I knew had a name for it. What I want to know is this: did you grow up in an ethnic-exclusive (or close too it) neighborhood, and if so, did the people you grew up with have stereotypes of people that they had not met yet? I would hate to think that only white people have stereotypes for other races.
