I think that the world wouldn't try to adapt to what they movies and magizines are telling us the world will be in 2050. It will still be a bout the same, even if it gets to that point, it's no going to happen that quick. When do you think the world is going to get to that future or if it will, and what kind of things do you think we will have?

now, working on his laptop and the leg of the chair just broke and he fell over backwards with his *** in the air, but he held onto the laptop and everything was ok. It wasn't funny until I knew he was ok, but once I knew that, It became hysterical.

It semes now adays, more and more emphasis seems to be placed on what one can do in the workplace than one's works in college when it comes to hiring people. It seems that the popularity of online degrees has skyrocketed in the last several years as well. Also, recruiters from companies are coming to campuses and offering outstanding jobs for people if they are willing to leave college for them, suggesting that college is losing its importance. I was also under the impression that college was also a time for personal growth in addition to learning beyond high school, but it also seems nowadays that people go to college for "financial security" more than anything. So I pose two questions:

1. Will traditional college become a thing of the past soon?
2. Are too many people going to college with the real intention of hoping to make more money rather than to experience personal growth?

I understand that slavery was wrong and still is but...

That was over 200 hundred years ago. No black person in this day and age has every been subjugated to that level of abuse or mistreatment. If you were never personally affected by slavery what does it matter now?

I mean if people cared that much about the atrocities of slavery then they would be actively on the streets trying to stop the slavery that takes place in america today. The thousands of people forced over here to be prostitutes and sweat shop workers. that happens right here in america.
If you are a person regardless of color of skin then the fact that if there WAS slavery against your people in the PAST shouldnt matter when compared to the slavery that still hapens today in this very country (the US).

I just wanted to bring this up to maybe try and get people to think about someone other than themselves and try to help the people CURRENTLY enslaved in this country.

Just a thought...

First, I'm not trying to change anyone's thinking about this issue. That's up to you what you think about it.

However,
Why do some think marijuana is so much better than tobacco?
Marijuana- Effects driving ability. Causes the chemistry of the brain to change in SOME. Makes SOME lazy after daily use.
No chemicals in it? How do you know that for sure? Maybe the plant you grew was pure but maybe not the plant you bought.

Tobacco-
Doesn't effect driving ability. Legal- You don't have to worry about getting fired over it.
Does cause cancer in SOME.
SOME get addicted to it.
Doesn't cause brain cells to get damaged like marijuana.

So, why do some marijuana smokers bash tobacco smokers? Or think it is better to use frequently.

I thought marijuana it effected the brain cells/chemistry after prolonged use. Am I wrong?

This isn't a "bash". I just want some logic here.

If people used both substances in moderation we wouldn't have this problem!

I see this on a daily basis, really fat women with their chub hanging out, trying to look "sexy" wearing tight shirts with their 3 rolls hanging out, and their a s s looks like its going to bust out of the seams!


And please dont answer saying "they are sexy!", "they can do what they want", "Its their right" ect.... Because its NOT attractive, they are NOT sexy, and its just plain disguisting! Anyone else feel me on this one?
