First, I'm not trying to change anyone's thinking about this issue. That's up to you what you think about it.

However,
Why do some think marijuana is so much better than tobacco?
Marijuana- Effects driving ability. Causes the chemistry of the brain to change in SOME. Makes SOME lazy after daily use.
No chemicals in it? How do you know that for sure? Maybe the plant you grew was pure but maybe not the plant you bought.

Tobacco-
Doesn't effect driving ability. Legal- You don't have to worry about getting fired over it.
Does cause cancer in SOME.
SOME get addicted to it.
Doesn't cause brain cells to get damaged like marijuana.

So, why do some marijuana smokers bash tobacco smokers? Or think it is better to use frequently.

I thought marijuana it effected the brain cells/chemistry after prolonged use. Am I wrong?

This isn't a "bash". I just want some logic here.

If people used both substances in moderation we wouldn't have this problem!

First, tobacco is addictive in EVERYONE. The addictive substance is nicotine. No addictive substances in marijuana.

Second, prolonged use of marijuana causes laziness? maybe. However, prolonged exposure to tobacco causes cancer, heart disease, emphysema, hypertension, etc., etc. etc. which costs billions in medical bills, lost productivity, premature death, etc. etc etc.

Alcohol, a LEGAL SUBSTANCE, affects driving ability, should we ban that?

You get fired over marijuana because the government has arbitrarily decided that it should be illegal. Do you get fired for drinking on the job? If you don't you should. And what's that again about alcohol? Oh Yeah, it's a LEGAL SUBSTANCE.

If the government legalized marijuana, regulated its production, distribution, and sale, and taxed it the way they do alcohol, they'd make a mint in revenue. And if you're about to say that legalizing Mary Jane would increase its use, you'll see that alcohol consumption increased during the Prohibition era, and then declined after the 18th Amendment was repealed.

When alcohol was illegal, Al Capone ran Chicago. Every time you make something illegal, you invite the criminal element to get involved. Make marijuana legal and you give the criminals a smaller playing field.

I know this isn't about legalizing marijuana, but which do you REALLY think is more harmful?

I'm guessing you're a cigarette smoker, because otherwise you most likely wouldn't be glamorizing cigarettes. If people didn't use either substance we wouldn't have people like you defending one product that causes disease and death more than another. While you may not have intended to bash, you are still seemingly showing bias toward cigarettes. Cigarette and maijuana smokers alike risk falling victim to chemical dependancy.

Your argument about using the two substances in moderation may appeal to some, but "moderate" is a relative word, especially for those who develope an addiction. Their brain will continually increase the ammount that they consider "moderate" so that what they think is moderate is actually far from it.

Actually some work places will fire you if you are found to smoke (cigarettes).

Tobacco does affect your abilities, it's just so subtle that you don't realize it (so therefore, not as bad?) Anyways I agree with you, and I think marijauna should be legalized and regulated.

You answered your own question. Some people can do things moderately and some can't.
