What if someone your work with or some one you go to school with turned out to be an alien what would you do? Would you report the person and turn him into the government? Would you just stop talking? Would you try to help that person keep their secret? I'm curious what would you do?

I live in Los Angeles, and I was just wondering what life is really like in small towns. Sometimes we get the notion that it's very picturesque, and sometimes we get the notion that it's a backwards, red neck place that has very little tolerance for minorities and non-like-minded people. I was just wondering what it really is like. How is the standard of living? Crime? Friendliness? Things of that nature.

Why can't it just be that men (in general) are disgusted with humos. by all means be jay, but why is it that if u are repulsed by jays then you're a humophobe. Am i a snotaphobe if I am disgusted with people with snot on their faces. I don't mind lezbians because I think it's hot. Doesn't this show that this has nothing to do with being humophobic. Obviously there are those that are actually humophobes, but straight men that are repulsed by jays shouldn't be called humophobes. Am I a beestialtyphobe?

Many people responding to my earlier question say that most of the poor people are either from different countries (Not Americans) or substance abusers. Others say that many are poor by American standards but better than undeveloped country poor. Which is better, being poor in a so called "Third World" country and still having dignity or being poor in the US with nobody caring about you? Help ! I am confused to read about this in the US from its own people and no media coverage.

Does anyone know if there is a meaning behind a dead fish left at the front door? A dead catfish was left on the front doorstep of our door. It had no bitemarks, and no other marks on it that could indicate that an animal had caught it. It was too big for our cat to have caught it or even dragged it to the door. I can't imagine why such a thing was left there. Does anyone have any ideas? thank you.

My husband and I were dicussing how neither of us can make eyecontact with people when talking to them, like occasionally, but can keep the stare, its akward to us!

How many of you can/cant keep eye contact...?

ALso, what does it mean if you cant? My husband is confident, I would think he definatly could, I can see why I wouldnt be able too, but it just feel so strange!!

My girlfriends says im terrified to be alone. I asked what gives her that idea, and she sayd because i keep myself around alot of people, and when im around people, its like i want to be "the guy everybody wants to hang with". "I am curious to know if girls from different states (US) have different takes (generally as a group) on life's various issues. This isn't meant to offend anyone, so please don't take it that way. I respect everyone's own choices.

I am non-American (Indian) and in my home country this does happen. Like in my native place, girls are generally conservative in their dressing, save themselves up for marriage, generally don't end up divorcing, are against extra-marital affairs (men and women) and such things... yet hardly 250 miles away, in another city, where I have lived as well, things are different. There, they tend to be not as conservative in dressing, consider saving virginity for marriage as a choice, divorce more often and so on and so forth.

I have a friend from Ohio who tells me that in US there would be state-to-state differences in such things.

Anyways, I would want to hear what you people think. If yes, can you tell me some of the conservative states? If no, well ok :)"
