i've been hearing this word many times, used in different ways but i still have no clue what it means.

emo is short for emotional. just go to wikipedia.org and type in emo. it gives you a nice page or so about it.

some people think emo is emotional and it can mean that but it can also mean that youre independant...like the color black...and dont really like to interact with other people... emo has a lot of different meanings

Emo = Emotional. People that are a bit dramatic and whiney. My life sucks, nobody loves me, that sort of thing. Don't be Emo unless you can't help it.
