My brother and I discovered a fire and when we were safely out he said do you want to pull the fire alarm? How is it that he asked me as opposed to him doing i? Was it because he knew that I could do a good job ? We are both around the same age(I'm older)/How is it that he even read the directions with me, His friend was there and he asked me as opposed to his friend how was this? Was it normal that we both read the directions? Was it normal that his friend watched us? We were safe and we wanted to be sure everyone is safe.

You're his big brother, so he looks up to you. He always has. In this time of crisis, he probably looked to you because he's always had confidence in your being older, wiser, and stronger. You were, are, and forever shall be his big bro, and therefore his hero.

Good job.
That is my theory, and I'm sticking to it.
