If it's the year of the pig can people still....?

Because its the year of the pig does that mean people that are Chinese can not eat pork? It sounds kind of stupid but I really would like to know, I'm not trying to be a smart **** either. thank you for your answers.

no, it does not mean that, the Chinese have 12 different animals they use for the horoscope, some animals are dragons, rats and snakes........... and of course we do not eat those things anyway, and dragons do not exist, .......... you can eat pigs, it is just the Chinese version of astrology
