Perhaps France is the only country which realizes war isn't the solution. Maybe they understand - why get involved in someone elses affairs as well as become part of the complicated chaos when we have enough problems of our own to attend to?

Sometimes the smart choice is to step away from a war that's not your fight and isn't worth fighting. Especially, knowing everyone loses. It's refreshing to know that when a riot occurs there will be some who choose to turn around and walk home.

I would hardly say the "pansied" out of World War One. They fought very bravely and constantly for five long years, and we barely aided them for one. However, that said, they did do a major vanishing act in World War Two. They were never in Iraq, so that's merely a matter of deciding not to participate. Still, if it wasn't for us and the British, the French National Anthem would be "Deutschland Uber Alles."

You had better get back to your history books instead of listening to right-wing political rhetoric. France bore the brunt of World War I and led the forces that finally defeated Austria and Germany.
France has also been the nation that has been keeping the arab countries (at least Libia) from taking over sub-saharan countries.
EDIT:
Also, France was the only country that had the courage to really stand up to the "bully on the block" that wanted the whole world to invade Iraq. They stood in the face of the world's only remaining superpower. I wouldn't exactly accuse them of being pansies!

well I am going to guess that it was a little hard for them to fight in WWII since the Germans kinda took them over, and I don't know about you but I am pretty sure that there has only been two world wars.

Tyrone, you need to take a serious look at French history. Your statement doesn't hold water. Celui ci, ce n'est pas vrai.
