same for most of us. Happiness is an attitude, not a right, it seems

You haven't done anything to "deserve" a crap life. It's not your fault. But....
There are a lot of people who are worse off, ok? People who would love to be able to work, who want someone to be with them and *love them* sometime in their lives....
And then, to make matters worse, there are these others, and they seem to have *everything* and a bag of chips. The first million, the trust fund, the convertible for "sweet 16", the dozen "friends" named Muffy, Buffy and Biff.....and *they* still want more, they aren't happy with having a lot, nope, they want it ALL. Or at the very least, that is how their culture works.
So...I'd humbly submit that you aren't doing anything wrong as far as *yourself* and your family goes....ok? :) You're doing good there, but....life is out of balance all over. Our rich people have *far* too much, and our poorest poor folks are too close to having *nothing at all*. And yeah, I am trying to keep the politics out of it for now....point is, it doesn't take a politician to tell you what to think of Big Oil when gas prices *rise* right after hurricanes and *right after snowstorms*.
So, why not reach out, and do more for the people around you? I'm not saying you have to give everything away...but maybe just one afternoon a week. Step outside your own life, volunteer for a bit and see if you can't get out there and be a positive force for change....why not *give* what you need out of life, give someone "good times" and see if such return to you once you've put in the effort?
I know....it's a lot to ask. You don't have a lot of time in your life. I get that. And maybe you've been raised or taught somewhere to *not respect* people who aren't working 5 days a week, whenever, wherever....it happens. Or maybe you don't think you can give enough....
Still. Try a little. Do what you can. It beats doing nothing seven days out of seven. And giving back can really help you get something worthwhile, emotionally, out of life.
I'm just saying. ^_^ Thanks for your time.

You're a wife, a mother and you hold down a job? Full-time or part-time? And how many children do you have? No wonder you're depressed - YOU'RE TOO BUSY TO HAVE TIME FOR FUN! Been there, done that. And the more I did for others, the more they expected.
So, to turn things around, you're just going to have to put your foot down with a firm hand and DELEGATE. Stop allowing everyone else to use you as a doormat and assert your fundamental right for a little bit of time for YOU.
Draw up a simple chart showing how you spend your time each week - 37 hours paid work, 40 hours unpaid work (that would be the cooking, cleaning, washing, ironing, child-minding, etc.), 49 hours sleeping and compare that with how hubby spends his time. Then ask yourself what you would really like to do for a bit of fun (go to the cinema with friends, have a romantic night out with hubby, get down the gym, whatever turns you on) and SINGLE OUT THAT TIME AS YOUR TIME. Don't compromise, don't allow others to bully you into giving it up. Go for it and get some fun back into your life. You deserve it!

Its a test, this lifeis temporary and its a test of faith, character, be strong minded, be positive, dont lose faith, good things come to he who waits, or something like that (lol) BUT never become weak, God tests ppl differently and in different situations to see hoe we react and react to otherts, just be urself, be positive, be strong minded, keep ur mind occupied, rember this life is temporary so make most of life, do good deeds, be happy, worship God who put u here in the first place, there are ppl far worse off, have no money, no food, no shelter, no family, have illnessed, depression, no suppprt, think of urself lucky, be glad, as i said this life is a test.

You may have a medical condition called depression. Go to a MD and take the depression test to see if you have it. Also, try to have 1 night a week when you are doing something fun. Whatever it is that makes you happy. Bowling, movie, hiking, whatever. Get plenty of exercise; being too idle is not good for morale.

a lot of people are thinking the same. you need a bit of spontanaeity, liven things up. Arrange a girlies night every so often where you go and get mashed! take the kids to a theme park and go on the rides yourself. spice up the bedroom (if it needs it of course), buy yourself some treats, they dont even have to be expensive things, just nice things that you wouldnt normally get. and take a camera with you everywhere, then when something good happens you can take a picture and then you have visual memories that might make you see that your life aint that crappy afterall!
good luck and start having fun!!! x

you should watch the movie " The secret" I guarantee it will change your life. You will learn that everything you don't like in your life you have actually brought on to yourself. There is a law named "attraction" so If you want to be productive and successful talk like you already are. All you have to do is watch this trailer and it will hopefully intrigue you enough.
...I know it will.

Why don't you listen to some country music...its aim always seems to be to glorify the mediocre and make people who have crappy, mundane lives feel like it's really all okay after all. Maybe it will cheer you up.
