To the morons who wouldn't understand my intent and just rant out at me: THIS WAS NOT MEANT TO DECLARE CHINESE PEOPLE INFERIOR.

Anyway, sometime during China's communist rule, intellectuals were persecuted by authorities, and many of them fled to Taiwan and Vietnam.

Would that make the average viet/taiwanese intellectually superior to the average chinese, even by a small margin?

Again, this isn't supposed to declare the chinese inferior. I'm not even sure abou the facts, and I don't even know how many intellectuals fled.

That's why I have to know.

There was an article I read recently about the average IQ of certain nations. From what I remember Taiwan's average IQ was higher than that of China, and China's was higher than that of Vietnam. I personally don't think that race alone affects intelligence. If you take certain factors like how small Taiwan is and the fact that it has a fairly advanced educational system - compared to the much larger countries of China and Vietnam, who do of course have many just as intelligent people - but because of various reasons, not everyone is able to have an education - which would pull the average IQ down.

I recommend you do a google search, try words like - national IQ averages etc and you should be able to find the relevant documents.

Hmm... This is your research but you're not in the mood for surfing. Good luck with your research then.

You might research the question on line. There are some correlations between race and IQ tests.
The next question you might ask is: Does IQ have anything useful to predict other than being able to take IQ tests?
