I heard on the radio today that the death of Anna Nicole Smith has recieved more hours of media attention on TV than the death of President Gerald Ford. Lets compare the two individuals.

Anna Nicole Smith was a Playboy Playmate in the early 90's and had a reality show on the E enertainment cable channel a few years ago. I would estimate that her childhood IQ was somewhere around 85, which would make her "slow". However, after years of drug abuse, I would estimate that her IQ had fallen to around 70, which would make her borderline retarded. Anna Nicole Smith couldn't sing and she couldn't act. In fact, she did not possess any artistic ability of any kind. She possessed little character and no culture. The only positive thing I can say about her was that she was fairly attractive in her late teens and early twenties, but that had faded away by the mid 1990's.

If 'you' are too sensitive to handle real/honest answers, why ask your question in the first place? There are some that pose questions, but only want fairy tale answers ... what is the point of that? Is this is a "pity poor old me" site?

I have lived in suburbs for most of my life. I notice how people always think we have money and we are stuck up.

I can tell you this is not the case. The burbs I live in are pretty well financially and culturally diversed.

Additionlaly people always talk about the city being dangerous and full of seedy people looking to take advantage of you.

How accurate are these views?

Why do so many people say watching TV is bad for you and you should read instead. How is music and other such things so evil? Some people say too much TV is distracting from worrying about American issues, but I think most Americans are aware enough about global warming and AIDS in Africa. TV isn't a distraction, it's an escape. It's fun...what's so evil about that?

Did you know that there are more people living in slavery today? "It's hard to imagine, but there are more people living in slavery than at other times in history,"

Why can't we end slavery? What can we do to eradicate it?

I find it suspect as in "Let's make a problem and provide a solution so everyone will buy it"
Is it a case of problem/reaction/solution?

Do 'they' create a problem so that 'we' react and ask for a fix, then 'they' offer their solution?

Answering my own question…While there’s nothing to be ashamed of our own culture, if you want to live in this country it is fundamental that you learn how to contribute. Hispanics were here before anybody else (except for the Native Americans), but if you want to have a voice you better learn English.

The United States still is a place where you can succeed on your own. If you are willing to come here to live with prosperity, the least you can do is to learn how to communicate (well, unless you live in Miami). You can do it without disposing of any of the things that make you proud of the place you came from, but be ready to throw the bad things in the garbage, respect the laws and be thankful for the opportunity (well, I really hope you have disposed of the bad things away before coming here, right?). Hablas Ingles? No? Well, what the hell are you waiting for?

but haven't had intercourse. He can't - but we don't know why exactly. We think it must be an emotional issue now after a few doctor's visits and nothing... We saw counselors and I've tried various tactics to help: talking, not talking about it, yelling, crying, ignoring it, "fooling around" with him (not other men) and initiating intimacy, being understanding and patient, being firm. I never felt he tried as hard to find a solution as he should. He eventually got to where he didn't want to even fool around. And I reached that point too. But I'm 34 and wanted sex again someday! Then I found out he'd been watching porn (betwen $100-$500/month) and satisfying himself. I think that's addiction-level but he refused to acknowledge it. Therefore, how can we treat the problem? Then I asked him to go. What would you have done?
