A research resource, and inet access for those who cant get it at home. It levels the playing field for everyone. Also it is a place where people can educate themselves if they choose with out having to opportunities of the upper classes. It is also a place for entertainment. (ie books, cds, movies, ect)

It's an excellent source of shelter for the homeless. Oh and there are many great books there as well. Actually, their not all great, but at least theres a variety.
By the way, did you just fart? I only ask this because I know how your kind are with the bodily gases, you people seem to release these gases quite liberally.
Ok, I got another question for you: Why are you so ugly? I mean, did you fall down the ugly tree, hit every branch on the way down, and land in the ugly bush? Seriously though, if that avatar in any way represents how you look in reality, then I feel sorry for every mirror that you look at!

Well, when I was a kid we used to run through it and scream. About 10 of us. We were eventually banned from it, but big deal
So as far as function in the community goes. How about an outlet for bored kids?
