and elsewhere in the country is it about time that old fashioned punishment is bought back. Such as the birch and even the stocks to humiliate the perpetrators of these crimes. Because putting people behind bars and putting youngster in young offenders instututions serves no purpose what soever.

We need to clamp down now before anymore youngsters get shot and people get mugged and beaten for the sake of a few pounds to buy drugs.

What do you think please?

Some of the women I work with have no life, but seeem to want to make others lives a misery - ok they are due to retire soon, but why do they detest change and young (at heart) people? I just pretend I am thick and it works!!!

I feel like I'm losing my way or something!
Everywhere I go I hear about the sucess of celebrities who have nothing to do with me and dont really help me at all.
They are on my TV, my internet, my radio and all sorts of crap!

I am sick of hearing about thier sucess, if this is what music and entertainment has come to then I guess I can have no part of this! I have no problem with hard working entertainers who EARN what they have through years of work, but random nobodies who practiacally take over the country annoy me.

I just dont know anymore....I hope it's not just my PMS bugging me.

what do I do with the all to present Celebrity, and how do I get them out of my head!?

and count your blessings? How many of us live day to day complaining about the snow, having to go to work, not finding a babysitter for the weekend. There are so many people who today, are dealing with saying goodbye to their daughter who is dying from cancer, or are so sick that just sitting they struggle to catch their breath. I take so many things for granted everyday. Why can't I just love my kids and be content that at least I have them here with me? So..do any of you out there know how lucky you are to be living an average life? Let's all take a few minutes today to stop and smell our wonderfully plain roses and count our blessings.

I have been curious about a few thing about Mexico. I have never been there but hope that my kids and I will be able to one day to visit my in-laws. My questions are not jokes.

1. Does Mexico have public assistance like we have here in the U.S? Medicaid, food stamps, section 8. Im thinking no because every one comes here "for a better life." But I want to ask any way.

2. Do the Mexican people have some sort of ID where higher power can track everything they have and own? Like we have Social Security Numbers. Just curious because I asked my BF and he said they dont have anything like we have here. All the Mexican people i know usually have the same last names like Alverez, Henandez, Rodriguez, Chavez, Martinez. Im just curious as to how that works in Mexico.

3. Do a lot of women in Mexico work? My BF told me that where he is from most women stay home to wach the children while the man works. I dont really like that idea. Women need the same opportunities as men.

a few other girls and myself caught a girl smoking methamphetamines in the bathroom during class breaks. we all caught this girl on different occassions. my instructor asked me about it one day after class because one of the girls told him. so i told my instructor what i saw.
i don't know my exact reasons for being pissed...but i'm mad because they (the instructor and the dean) let the girl get away with it. so this means that if i want to snort coke in the councelor's office it would be okay because because all their going to do is slap my hand for it and tell me not to do it again? my mom said that there wasn't anything that the college could do about it. i disagree though. does anyone know what usually happens to someone that gets caught doing this on campus? any advice is appreciated. thanks and stay warm!

Whats up with people who leave comments like "Do your own research" and "figure it out yourself." What percentage of them are just looking for quick and easy shortcuts to rack up Yahoo Answers Points? What percentage of them are angry or jealous that they don't know the answer? What percentage of them believe the asker doesn't deserve an answer for not posing the question how they think the question should be asked? What percentage of them...etc.

What are some more reasons people spam Yahoo Answers Questions with no answers at all?

Any ideas on how we as contributors to Yahoo Answers can help improve the world we all live in! With an enormous communication base as this one, surely we can come up with new and fresh thoughts on ways to improve the environment, to reduce world starvation, to resolve the International war situation, and to make living on this green planet a lot more comfortable for all.
Perhaps by publishing your ideas on the Answer format, they can be heeded by those, who can pull the switches and push the buttons!
We, as responsible contributors to this network, could do so much to make life more bearable, if not for us, but for our children and grandchildren!
Ideas are needed, please!
