Whats up with people who leave comments like "Do your own research" and "figure it out yourself." What percentage of them are just looking for quick and easy shortcuts to rack up Yahoo Answers Points? What percentage of them are angry or jealous that they don't know the answer? What percentage of them believe the asker doesn't deserve an answer for not posing the question how they think the question should be asked? What percentage of them...etc.

What are some more reasons people spam Yahoo Answers Questions with no answers at all?

What percentage of them realize they have no reason in life to be asking the types of questions they see other people asking, such as school related questions, and therefore become envious and angry and reply facetiously.

What percentage of them think they are so much superior or smarter than the asker that it would be a waste of time giving a real answer?

What percentage of them are so much in their own world that they don't realize that not everyone, for many legitimate reasons, has equal internet skills or research/learning resources?

It depends on the question, if someone asks an extremely naive yet stupid question such as "Where do I get pictures of ___?". Then i'll respond in the manner you've stated. If it's a non stupid question such as "How fast was Apollo 13?" Then I would respond in a correct manner with an answer related to the question.

How many are really just tired of kids trying to get someone else to do their homework for them? What is the value in racking up points on here? They get you nothing - so I don't think it's about racking up points. If we do all of the homework for those that think coming here is the way to do research - then our future is really bleak.

I guess it depends on the question. I've seen kids ask homework questions here. That can be ok. But, at the same time, a kid is "cheating himself" if he doesn't learn the material --- even after someone on YA helps him.

I'm more concerned with people who say, "That's not true" when in fact it is true. Often they are too lazy to use the internet to get caught up to speed on current events, etc.

They are point gaming which is against the rules. What I mean is that they will answer any question just to get the points. That's why you see all of the idk or wtf answers. Just ignore them, that's what I do.
