As long as we continue to fight wars, abuse the planets resources (and that includes taking it for granted and indifference ) and knowingly neglect our health, then I would say
we don't value human life or any other life very much.
We say we do, but do we live and act as we do?
How many times do we jump in our cars rather then bike or walk(using fuel)leave water running, leave lights on etc etc
In other words waste resources and energy.
smoke cigarettes, let ourselves gain excessive weight.
hence jeopardize our health. These are behaviors that reflect our value of life.

Human life is priceless. The Son of God died to redeem us and make us right with God. If God gave His only Son, His love makes us priceless!

To evolve into something greater than those before us. To procreate, and keep our line in history going. We are very special creatures, we are aware that we exist. We have the conscious mind.
