If I was born in a country where my race was singled out and oppressed, I would do whatever it took to leave that country. The majority of African-Americans believe that the United States government is set up to oppress them. We live on a large planet with thousands of different cultures. Why do African-Americans stay and suffer in the United States? (Note: I have asked this question without rage. I am anxious to see who can answer it without rage.)

I can't believe they would not imagine that american guys will be attracted to them. So they come to usa, and dress with this sexy fashion... I'm wondering do they Believe that usa guys will not look at them and be attracted.. or do they know it and want to get american guy's attention and that's why they are dressing like that.

I mean, if you go into a country that you believe is so dangerous ( Many japanese believe America is dangerous and there is alot of violence), why would you dress so sexy and risk being raped or whatever by crazy violent people.

I had an incredible thing happen this evening. I work in downtown Detroit and due to the winter storm, it was taking me hours to get home. My car died, AND about 10 mintues later, my cell phone. I was with a dead car in the worst area of Detroit...and I'm a 5'4" white woman.

A tall black homeless man came up, helped me out, and stayed with me for over 40 minutes until a friend came. I had no car, and no cell phone at that point. This man protected me. He asked for nothing in return even though he HAD nothing more than the clothes he was wearing.

I am so glad that I have not been racist, because this man showed me how beautiful people can be in this world, no matter what you have, where you're from, etc. I bring up the race issue because there is quite a divide here in Detroit with blacks and whites. I took this man, got him a hotel room, & gave him as much money as I could.

This is a true story, & happened less than 3 hours ago. I will be forever changed by his kindess

when you scroll through the 'answer' part of yahoo, your eyes skim over about 20 questions, of which you only answer one or two per page. Which ones do you choose to answer, and why? Is it the ones you feel confident in answering, the ones you find the most interesting, the outrageously shocking ones?

I'm curious as to what mainly drives people to answer the things they choose to.

do you ever feel unsatisfied that people never comment on what you say? i mean sometimes i take a while to think about an asn a question, and when i'm done it's so unsatisfying because i have know idea if that person has gotten the mesg.
also the answers that you people give are mostly the WORST..i suppose to this question you'd say "i enjoy just knowing that i'm helping someone" or something so off toppic, and so annoying....sooo i'm hoping that on some level someone will understand what i'm getting at.

Thanks

Almost every holiday is like that (those that involve gifts). People get so caught up with the gifts and the flowers; they forget why we have a Valentine’s Day in the first place. Jewelry, cards, flowers and chocolates are nice in moderation, but the best way to show someone you care about them in my opinion is just love them all through the year.

Recently bought a house about a year or so ago, my husband has seen a ghost and I have seen one, we only saw it when the other one was in the shower. What I want to know is there some way to check and see if someone died in our house or something. Our house was built in 1909 so there were probably alot of people that has lived here.
