Not everyone in the U.S. have a middle name.
"Many people's names include one or more middle names, placed between the first given name and the surname. In the West, a middle name is effectively a second given name. In the United States there is usually only one middle name, abbreviated by its possessor to the middle initial" I hope it helps.

To me, a middle name is the second idea of a first name that your parents liked but decided it wasn't perfect as a first name, so they made it a middle name.
I don't think everyone has one because I know a couple of people who don't have middle names.

Many people in the US have a middle name, sometimes it's a name from their grandparents, or their mother's name from before marriage, or the name of a favored relative or someone the family admires, etc. And people of Hispanic heritage have an additional surname as well. However, not all people in the US have a middle name, it depends on the customs in their family.

Everybody in America does not have a middle name. In fact, I'm the only one in my family that does... Greeks-Americans usually don't have middle names.

a middle name is a name after your first name and before your last, and no. Hell I live there and only met one person with a middle name.

No, not everybody in Canada has a middle name. It is often given to honour or remember someone dear to the parents. I have two middle names..my father's father's name and my matenal grandmothers maiden name. It is not at all like in china where your name can be chosen for auspicious reasons or whatever...:)

A middle name is something that may represent you in your surroundings, but not everyone in the US has one, parents don't really appear interested in that as much as the original name.
