it's not that i have an avoidant type personality/ i'm really sweet
but small talk is such bs in my opinion...
you really don't care how my day is going...seriously :)

I hate small talk because I'm really bad at it! I always feel so awkward when it suddenly gets silent and I have to think of something to say.

Of course you're not. Some of the brightest people on earth deplore small talk. Whether that's a problem depends on whom you have to interact with throughout the day. Avoid the yammerers as much as you can and spend time with those who really have something to say - and make it obvious to the yammerers - they'll eventually get the message and leave you alone.
