Open your eyes a little wider. There is beauty in the world. And a lot of injustice as well. How much injustice can we hear about before we need to let go and realize that life isn't fair and there's not much we can do about it or at least cannot solve all the world's problems much less our own. Maybe we could each choose one injustice to address and not try to solve them all. Hmmm...that would give us time for other interests like bicycling and skiing and walking in the sunshine and and and...

One thing to remember is that the news reports things that are out of the ordinary, not common occurences. Another thing to remember is that the business of TV news is to make sure you sit through all the commercials.
