Almost every holiday is like that (those that involve gifts). People get so caught up with the gifts and the flowers; they forget why we have a Valentine’s Day in the first place. Jewelry, cards, flowers and chocolates are nice in moderation, but the best way to show someone you care about them in my opinion is just love them all through the year.

yea, i agree it is too commercialized. if someone really loves you, they do not need a holiday to show you. it's the things they do every other day of the year that prove it.

If you really love someone, you should be showing it 24/7 not just on 1 day of the year. Yes it's fun to get romantic with candles and a nice dinner and some flowers but to get caught up the commercialized part is ridiculous. Diamonds only for Valentine's day? Forget it, that's year round too!

I think all holidays have become commercial. People forget what Christmas is all about. It is not about presents it is about the birth of Christ. And when people write X-mas they are deleting the purpose of Christmas. Valentine's day is just a day to show how much you love someone because with everything going on in their lives they forget to tell that to their special someone.

He grew to become into an early Roman Christian Priest, who married Christian couples without the permission or understanding of the Emperor. This grew to become right into a huge no no, because it meant that the emperor an d useful families have been no longer loose to manage marriages for alliance and fiscal applications as grew to become into habitual. so they achieved Valentine.... horribly...i think skinning him...i'd could look that up yet suffice to declare Romans had some strategies of killing those that make crucifixion look like an trouble-free selection.

Yep, I really don't care too much for it because it just feels forced because of the hype around the day.
