My God! You can't read their questions for one full minute without something coming up about the Mexicans or the blacks...

I have no prejudices against anyone. I am simply telling the truth. Don't you try and turn this whole thing around on me!

Lots of racist people seem to like to use Yahoo Answers as a platform for their sick ideas. It's really embarrassing, to see this garbage and know that people all over the world are reading it. Don't the people who post this stuff realise that they are representing this country to the world? Unfortunately, many are barely aware that the rest of the world exists. I am sorry for them and I hope you realise that many Americans are not like this.

It's just you. Try living over here, get a more typical sample of the population. Remember there are alot of creeps on the Net who like to do things for shock value to get attention.

We are still a bit weak on the issue, in that we are still too divided along racial lines. Our law still gives favor to some races over others, in the form of affirmative action. Many non-racial issues are racialized as a way to try and give the issue legitimacy, causing further ethnic division. There are still many racist areas of the country, especially in many inner cities and some parts of the south. White suppremacy groups, though outcasts and pariahs in the modern USA, are still in existance and cannot be ignored. And the long-term effects from the poor treatment of Native Americans in the past has not been properly dealt with. These problems are contributed by many sides of the political isle.

But on the positive, we see a blending of white, black, hispanic, and asian cultures, which in the 50 years have been increasingly crossing over. Many many Americans are not racist, I would say the majority. Though racism is an issue, America has come a long ways on it, and it still slowly making some progress.

Also, many other countries are apparently much worse, notably France, Belgium, India (the caste system), Malaysia, many African countries, and some middle-eastern and Muslim countries. These countries still have a significant problem with racism, a few of them even still practicing lawful discrimination.

Racism is everywhere. In Rwanda it was between short people and tall people (Hutus and Tutsis), a distinction originally made by the Dutch... My friend from Japan was despised by her own grandmother because my friend was one quarter Korean.
Unfortunately, racism is everywhere.

I think what you are actually witnessing regarding Americans and the "Mexican" thing is the fact that many Americans are tired paying the tab for illegal immigrants, a large percentage of whom are here from Mexico.

And yeah, as in every other country, there are also the average, run-of-mill troll racists.

In all cultures there are segments which are singularly introspective, America is no different. However, there are other cultures in which such exclusion of others in systemic to the entire population, that is not common in the United States.

More than anyother place, America has accepted more people from other cultures than anyother place on Earth.

So, no the American people are not the most racist people on Earth.

The CIA checked into it and found out that it's really the Japanese who are posting all the racial slurs in Yahoo Questioners and Answerers. It's a plot by the Imperial Government of Japan to shame the US citizens into leaving the country, thus reducing the price of real estate.

Or maybe you are in one of the skin head sections.

Chris

I was watching some of the World Cup last year and saw some
of the most racist acts ever seen on tv by people in Europe. Take that Europe scum. Do something about those teeth of yours. From across the pond.

I think that some people from the U.S just forgot that, when europeans got here, there was already indians here, and mexicans have blood of some of those indians, so they were here before. somes just forgot that people were coming from different places of europe, then africans, working, slaves building a country with their own hands. lot of people from lots of places start populating the whole american continent, from alaska to patagonia, thats what the new continent its about, people from different places. america doesn't have a color, or religion, its a melting pot. and when im talking about the whole continent.

Probably about a 50 50 deal there. Partly you. I admit being American that I can also see lots of racist remarks. To your question, not all of us are racists. I think there are racists in all countries. Maybe it seems like more in America, after all this is a large country. We should love our brother no matter who they are or what color they are.....

I agree, being an American I think the problem is that we lost sight of what America was suppose to be. I also dont think we will ever remember or correct our racial "problems" even though we have become more of a melting pot than ever.
