I am not against doing what is logical, but can you logically explain why I should give serious consideration to the advice or input of someone I don't know?

Recently, our local hospital has implemented a Dunkin Donuts within its main lobby... I have found that there is NO LINE there in the morning and have been going there to get my morning coffee (since the other Dunkin Donuts in town have a wait upwards of 20 minutes).

I normally park in the emergency parking area so I can run in and get my coffee, and up till this morning I have not had an issue. Today, my car was on the 'hooks' of a flat bed and they were moving it on when I came out. I tried to discuss this with the tow truck guy, even offering him a bribe but he REFUSED to take my car off the hooks.
I felt this guy was VERY rude to me and I'm thinking of pressing charges against the tow truck company...I was in that parking spot for less than 2 minutes and he had my car...it was almost like he was waiting for me...

do I have a case against him and my 100.00 impound fee?

Assuming an expected even number of male and female occupants and visitors on a floor of a building, what is the standard occupant to toilet ratio so that there will usually be enough toilets but not too many? Seems like the ratio should vary depending on how many people are expected to live in the building 5 days a week. So is it, like, 12 people per toilet? 20 people?

I hate hippies because they dont know what they're talking about and "MAKE LOVE NOT WAR" is a crappy slogan for anyone. I mean, please. Are we going to 'make love' to terrorists? terrorists who would only love us if we got rid of our freedom of religion?

So why do YOU hate them?

Really throwing the cat in the birdhouse on this one!
For the sake of the bigots and zealots who might respond to this let me tell you about me. I am as straight as straght can be - I have no issues with my sexuality. I am married with children. I dont dicriminate against another for their creed, colour, race or sexuality - everyone is equal, except those who dont agree with me on equality.
Ok here we go with my own answer
I find some men attractive - John Barrowman (Capt Jack in Dr Who) and Johnny Depp are two damn fine looking specimens of the male sex.
I dont find them attractive in a sexual way - in other words the part of my mind that responds to Michelle Pfeiffer's looks and figure for example, does not kick in when looking at a picture of Mr Depp. It does when i see his wife
BUT, I can quite happily say that Mr Depp is a good looking man.
I am offering odds on the number of zealots, bigots and homophobes i get to answer this.
But am really interested in genuine responses

Hi, everyone.
I roll my own tabs now and then. No, just baccy, and have developed a knack of folding the things up.
Not good in a stong wind.
The stuff goes everywhere !
Apart from seeking shelter, is there a real method ?
As my grandfather seemed to roll a smoke with ease.
In all conditions.
Humourous answers well recieved.

That way we can force parents who want children to get a child that is already up for adoption. I mean... it may not be a little baby, but that 12 year old wants a family just as bad, right? Maybe once all the kids are out of the system we'll open it back up to new kids.

Oh don't hate me.... these questions are just for humor and starting conversations, so don't get too upset. It would definitely not work out well for the people who weren't allowed to give the child up for adoption, though. Obviously this solution wouldn't work.

I know people on 'yahoo.answers.com' generally don't like to offend anyone by taking up one side on questions like these. But I haven't seen a good battle over 'who is better' in a long long time. So please, adopt a biased view and fight to your hearts content.
(please dont give a tedious answer like: "why? they're both great")

When i was younger the barbies i played with taught little girls that you could be anything with a little confidience. The barbies now are telling girls that its better to be goodlooking and have nice clothes then to be smart and caring to others. What do you think about this? Do you think the mattle company has gone to far in exploting woman and telling little girls that all woman are "dumb blondes"?

i am asking this question because of the many wars on our continent due to the fact that some people feel they are superiors and their views should be more respected than others.
Some people also feel and the express such feelins towards others that their sort of work is more important than that of their friends.

If she didn't know she was pregnant, and continued living live as such- occasionally drinking with friends, continue to take her birth control, riding some giant scary rollercoasters that pregnant woman aren't supposed to ride, and a good 3-5 months pass without her knowing she was pregnant..... I'm assuming there'd be some chance that her baby would be deformed or damaged in some way? (I guess I could be wrong, though). Would an abortion be in her best interest? Would you be opposed to her having an abortion... explain your thinking.

And no... I'm not pregnant and none of this has ever happened to me, but I thought it would be an interesting conversation starter.

all the black girls ever tell me is that i should be white, because my name is sarah, i have a white boyfriend, and i know how to talk proper, i am quiet for the most part and then they sometimes say i am not shaped like a black girl because i am not thick! i cant help that im skinny, i have a fast metabolism. i dont try and act like anything i am myself, my mom raised me to not be ghetto, she grew up like that and refused for me to be that way. being ghetto gets you no where!!!! my mom taught me how to talk not white, not black but proper, i just dont get why its a big deal, you would think that most black people would be glad there is someone who defeats our stereotypes. i am smart, i get good grades, i have a very good job!
can someone please explain this to me???

I'm glad that celebrities have a hearts and want to help. But don't they realize that there are orphans in the U.S.? Don't they realize there are homeless people in the U.S.? People in the U.S. get AIDS? Poverty and hunger exist in the U.S. too.

I'm not saying that what's going on in other countries isn't terrible and no one should help. I'm glad that they do get help. But for once I'd like to see celebrities rally behind the country that gives them so much. Stamp out the problems here at home before taking on the world so to speak.

Am I making any sense?
