Many reasons...
a) Sometimes people resent those who help them, because the act of accepting help touches off their insecurities/makes them feel weak or powerless;
b) Sometimes people who offer help lord it over those they help -- "I did ___ for you, you owe me, etc.", and attach all kinds of hidden strings to their supposed kindness.
c) Sometimes people are just thankless pricks.

money goes to peoples heads when people get rich they forget about the small people and think they can boss who they like around. this does not apply to all rich people but a fair few.

no, it depends on the person. Some people are grateful and others aren't. Some people are also greedy. They've been helped and still want more.

A age old question...(in social service workers) we think that for some when you extend a hand to them they lose respect for that person because of some built up hostilities and resentments, that they either wish they could do it for themselves ???

good question i appreciate all my mom does for me, and whn i start making big money she will be reciving some of it, unlike the rest of my ungarteful family, whenever we ask for help they turn their backs on us!!
