The fact that the spelling is far from phonetic - the same combinations of letters can stand for totally different words, like the "ough" in "tough", "though", "drought", etc.

when i turned 5 years old i went to aljnn skool, it was the best skool ever, but unfortunatley my mom moved me to schmidt skool with my sister. when i was 7 years old me and my family moved to the usa for 1 year, it was awesome ... i had so much fun and when we came back i had to go back to my old skool, that was when the second intifada stared in israel...it was the worst period in my life ever. i stayed in schmidt skool till i turned 14.... and that was when i went to the US with my family... it was a great experiance , my new friends were really understanding and helpful.. they helped my out with everything and now since i went back to israel i miss them so much, it was the best year ever, i wish i could go back to my friends and my skool!!!
