Whats the difference between a mi me gusta and me gusta?

They are both the same...a mi me gusta is just a way to emphasize it. It's like saying, "Well, me, I like apples!" or something similar in English.

There both pretty much the same also mi me gusta is more like a phrase while me gusta is just stating you like.

It doesn't matter. A mi me gusta is more of a full sentence. Me gusta is a phrase.

A mi me gusta: it's me and nobody else; you put emphasis on yourself
Me gusta: without emphasis
