I am extremely impressed that Steiner went to all that effort! I am much lazier, but I thought there must be a Hebrew translation of the NT (Brit hachadasha ברית החדשה) online. Sure enough. (Google works in Hebrew font, too!)

כַּאֲשֶׁר הָיִיתִי עוֹלֵל כְּעוֹלֵל דִּבַּרְתִּי כְּעוֹלֵל הָגִיתִי כְּעוֹלֵל חָשָׁבְתִּי וְכַאֲשֶׁר הָיִיתִי לְאִישׁ הֲסִירֹתִי דִּבְרֵי הָעוֹלֵל׃

Without vowels (perhaps less time /money/ pain?):

כאשר הייתי עולל כעולל דברתי כעולל הגיתי כעולל חשבתי וכאשר הייתי לאיש הסירתי דברי העולל

The only real difference between this version and Steiner's (besides punctuation--the version I have posted is more "Biblical" in the relative lack thereof) is the use of "olel" עוֹלֵל instead of "yeled" for "child." Olel is a more literary term for young child, infant, toddler.

A tough question!! I Googled websites till I
was blue in the face and found completely different
translations of this! So I combined them and came
up with a text that I think parallels the original.
Here it is, with words explained. I hope this will help you!
. .
כאשר הייתי ילד כילד דברתי, כילד הגיתי, כילד חשבתי. וכאשר הייתילאיש הסרתי הי. הייתי לאיש הסרתי דברי הילד
ד.
כאשר הייתי ילד = When I was a child
כילד דברתי = I spoke like a child
כילד הגיתי = I reasoned like a child
כילד חשבתי = I thought like a child
וכאשר הייתי = But when I became
לאיש = a man
הסרתי דברי הילד - I put away childish things

Sorry for the spacing here. My computer
won't let me space this properly!
