If you had to give it a percentage, what would you say the Italian language and Spanish are similar.
The reason why I'm asking is that there are a lot of Spanish words in Italian vocabulary, or the other way around.
By the way, which language is older than the other because one had to copy the other since there are a lot of similar words and sounds.

We're learning fractions in spanish--
so far we've learned the easy ones, like
1/3--un tercio
1/4--un cuarto
2/7--dos septimos
etc..
but after x/10, you add -avo, right?
so you get:
1/12--un doceavo
1/15--un quinceavo

is this one correct:
1/22--un veinteavo y dos?
also, for
1/31--would be un treintavo y uno? is that right?

how would you say
3/22?
tres veinteavos y dos?

Thanks

I'm passionate about learning languages, I'm in 2nd year in college, English is my first language and I'm fluent in Japanese and Spanish (from high school and childhood). I'm already planning on taking Chinese starting next year. But, I need to decide between German and Arabic. Both are pretty big in terms of U.S. relations. My mom's from Germany, and I've been there and really liked it. I figure German's a little easier to learn, but which do you think is more valuable and better to learn in a school situation? Challenge of the language isn't a big deal to me, I think my mind was made to learn languages. So I'm more interested in what is more useful now. Thanks.

How do you say "I am back" in Spanish?

I know the translator says "Estoy detras" but I'm not sure that's right. Is there a common phrase that Spanish people use to indicate returning or is the translator right?
