The language is now officially Bahasa Malaysia [Malaysian language], no longer Bahasa Melayu [Malay language].

The language should be Bahasa Malaysia or Bahasa Indonesian. Which in English should be Malaysian, not Malay, as most people posted, or Indonesian.

I believe it is either Malay or Indonesian. It certainly isn't Russian, as suggested by one of your answerers.
