I really want to start learning Russian language, because it's strange for me (I'm Spanish), but it sounds me really nice. Also, I love Russian literature and I hope I will be able to read some day a Dostoievsky or Tolstoi's book in Russian...

Quick background for anyone reading this wondering what the heck I'm trying to do. To improve my reading/writing/comprehension language skills, I enjoy translating various pieces of literature until I'm familliar.

http://www.bol.it is an online bookstore, and I have to translate word for word and I'm beginning to get quite confused.

I am searching for an italian language equivilant to something along the lines of the King James Version of the Holy Bible (old testament aka "hebrew bible", and the new testament). Due to my non-fluent problems, I can't figure out which books are about the bible (opinions etc) and which book is the actual equivalent to an old testament + new testament bible.

Can someone who understands please visit the website and locate for me a title and an EAN of the book I'm looking for?

(I am also game for contemporary interesting children's books in italian... I would appreciate any titles of fun kid books to buy and translate!)

Thank you!!!

i hate the way people especially guys talk these days they think slang is so cool. I get sick of being address with a "hey there guy/young man" or "sup man/dude/bro/bossman". Why cant people just say "hey/hello how r u" ? Does anyone else find that annoying?

This is one of my biggest grammar pet peeves. The correct phrase is "I couldn't care less" - it's a negative statement. Otherwise you're admitting you COULD care less than you currently do about something, thus you are not yet indifferent to the subject... you actually care a little bit. If one really was admitting (s)he could care less that is a pointless statement to make.

"Oh, you COULD care less? Well... um, thanks for telling me that I guess."

What are your pet peeves?

How do you say "Plays were performed in this theatre." in Latin?

What tense would that be? Is there another way to say it in the perfect tense?

Thanks alot!
