I have been reading some of the questions and answers from some of the users and looking at the grammar and spelling of quite a few people makes me want to vomit.

I know I will seem like an old fart (I'm only 31), but what has been happening in the schools since I graduated?

I know some people will say that this is just SMS language and substituting "u" for "you" just makes it easier. But aside from that the grammar is HORRIBLE!! I have seen misspelled words that actually include more letters than the real words have, so it is not just for speed or convenience!!

Does anyone else see this as a problem? or am I just getting grumpy as I get older? And is this how people write when they are in school or at work?

Last thing, there are probably some grammar and spelling mistakes in my question. But I can guarantee that it is better than 98% of the grammar and spelling than most people here.

Tell me if I got this right. If someone were to ask me to pass them something, I would point to it (the object) and say "esto".

Just trying to use examples to better understand the proper usage of the word.

L’ancien produit est une chemise simple avec un couleur seulement. Si vous avez changé votre avis et vous avez voulu une nouvelle couleur, vous avez dû achetez une nouvelle chemise. Ceci est ennuyeux parce que les anciennes chemises sont couteuses, surtout quand vous achetez plusieurs chemises dans couleurs différentes. La chemise normale n’est pas spectaculaire parce que c’est un objet d’habillement seulement. Il ne change pas couleurs, il n’a pas les caractéristiques originale, et toute le monde a porté ces chemises à jamais. C’est temps pour un changement dans le monde de style.

Allright, my question is this. I know about twenty conjugated forms of each verb. I know the present, future, imperfect, and preterite tenses of each verb. Is this enough for me to communicate in Spanish? Or do I need to know more? Do native Spanish speakers actually know more tenses than this?Are there more tenses than this?...Sorry for all the questions....I'd appreciate if each person that answers answers all of the questions...thanks...
