I'm gonna try to put it like in the phonetic alphabet: /enkantádo/.

So, "tá" is the strongest syllable.

the word sounds like this:
ehn-kahn-TAH-doo

the "d" in this word does not make a "j" sound. it makes a regular "d" sound ... equivalent of the sound it makes in "dog" in english.

the letter "d" would make a "j sound when:

- always when it's followed by the letter "i"...
ex: dia, direção, individual

- has a softer "j" sound ... when followed by the letter "e" if it's at the end of the word and that syllable is not the stressed syllable... or if it's used in the word "de" ... meaning "of, from". Furthermore ... in both of these cases ... the "e" actually makes an "i" sound ...
ex: de, grande
... so these would be pronounced ... ji & GRAHN-ji

Hope I could help.

en-can-TA-do (stress on the second-to-last syllable)

sounds like "en-can-TAH-du", the final syllable sounds "doo" and not like "doh"
