What does mean "gag" in this text?:In the video for her new single, Mariah Carey plays two parts, good Mariah and bad Mariah. The two meet in the ladies'roon and start a very unladylike fight. They scratch, they kick, they pull each other's hair.Good mariah wins. One can think this is just silly music-video GAG. I looked up in the dictionary of Cambridge and I met this:"joke ou story that is intended to amuse, esp. one told by a comedian.A gag is also a trick played on someone or an action performed to amuse other people"

There are several sentences that I've translated but I'm not sure they're right. Am I doing them correctly?
1. Are you going to buy anthing for your mom?
Vas a comprar algo para tu madre?
2. I'm going to buy her a blouse.
Voy a comprarle una blusa.
3. I like these green pants more than the black ones.
Me gustan estos pantalones mas que los ******.
4. These daring short dresses
Estos vestidos bajos y atrevidos

Also, when there is more than one adjective in a sentence without a conjunction, how do I translate it?
Ex: That striped ugly bathing suit

Many people told me Nijma means star but one person said that Nijma means 'One star' .... I think there is a deep philosophical difference between 'star' and 'one star' Can anyone who knows the roots of Arabic help me with this ?

In your language, can you hear the difference in accents when others speak your language, in the same way that in English we can discern a German accent, or a Japanese accent... I know it seems obvious, but I wonder if in another language, that speaker can tell the difference between an Australian, a Brit, a Scotsman, a Canadian, etc speaking in their language. If so, tell me what language you speak, and what the differences in the other people's accents are.

I am interested in find songs sung in forieng languages. Written in the native country, and sung by the people who know thier culture best. From German (European countries) to Swahili to the African dialects. I have only just started looking for such a site that might host such an varity of langueages, but figured i'd start here. If you know of different sites that host one group (European/Asian/African/South-East Asian) at a time, then that would be just as welcome.
So let me know, if you know, about any such sites. Thanks.
