Don't say "gracias por invitarme a su *hogar*", we don't use that expression, it would be "weird".
"gracias por invitarme a su CASA" (formal) or "gracias por invitarme a TU casa" are OK

"gracias por invitarme a su casa" or gracias por invitarme a tu casa"
it all depends how much you know this people or if they are older than you. if i go to my in-laws i'd use "su casa" instead of "tu" because i have to be polite and when you have good manners you speak with usted in this case "su" is speaking with usted.
