I've heard that to other English speakers, American English sounds:

1) Nasal
2) Like we have chewing gum in our mouths
3) Like ducks quacking

What else...?

Also, do other English speakers find American English hard to understand, e.g. when watching an American movie?

Also, what thoughts and feelings does the American accent evoke in other English speakers? Do they feel annoyed? Do they think the American accent sounds "cool"? Or does it just sound dumb?

I am a student studying French and thus check out French websites and blogs to improve my French... I realise that sometimes French speakers use abbreviations or short forms etc in their writing... I always notice the words "ct" and "ckil" being used and I have no clue as to what it means! Can someone please enlighten me....Thanks! :)

Say : "Someday, on a Sunday, I'll eat a cherry." They sound soooo similiar so are the 2 words related. Does Someday come from Sunday ? OR "Does Sunaday come from Someday?"

Once on a train a British girl asked me that and I said English. She found that strange. I mean being educated in English I find it the most comfortable language to think in. My mother tongue is Bengali. I am Indian, know six languages, but still.

"Come see victory, in the land called fantasy
loving life, a new decree,
bring your mind to everlasting liberty"

The above lyrics are from "Fantasy" by Earth Wind and Fire. English isn't my native language, and I have difficulty understanding them, especially the "loving" part. (I know what "love" means but not "loving (love+ing)")

Is the following lyrics written in complete sentence correct?

"Come and see the victory in the land called fantasy.
To love your life is a new decree,
which will bring your mind to everlasting liberty."

The entire Fantasy lyrics:
