The word "day" is common to both words. Putting someday with Sunday is what is known as "assonance": i.e. juxtaposing words which have similar sounds and are pleasing to hear together. Some comes from an old English root of "som" and Sunday is named after the pagan sun god, to whom that day was originally dedicated.
