For ordering food, just say the name of the food + onegai shimasu. If you can't read the Japanese, just point at a picture or wax figure of the food and say "onegai shimasu". Many Japanese restaurants show wax versions of the food they serve outside.
You can do the same for drinks as well (though I'm unsure if they show wax figures of drinks...)
Either way, here are some common drink names:
Mizu - water
Biiru - Beer
Koora - Soda
Ocha - Tea
Koohii - Coffee

ok 1st there is a certain grammer to japanese.
its subject, object, then verb. so the sentence, for instance
"i kill u" or sumthn like that wud be transalated to "i u kill" in japanese or "watashi anta shine" (prounonunced *wa-tashee anta sheenay*) well, heres my list of words.
watashi, ore, atashi, wakutashi- I (just use watashi if ur confused)
aisu-ice
sango-coral
tsu-claw
cat- necko
anta,omae,anata- you (use anata to be safe)
kore wa/ sore wa/ are wa- that is
kaza- wind
hai- yes
eeii (prounounced eeh-ah)- no
oswari- sit
shikon- sphere
hurry- hiyaku
baka- stupid
ahou- fool
this is some words i kno. it wud take me forever to list them all. hope u ebjoy ur trip 2 japan!
ps- wen ppl use sama, chan, or kun at the end of ur name, it shows respect and a title for ur name such Ms., or Mr., or sumthn like that,
