My husband was watching a documentery about some workers in India. They had a very dangerous job (breaking up ships). One husband told his wife not to wear her bindi during the day only at night when she saw that he got home alive. It left me wondering what a bindi was and what it signifies. Anybody from that culture here that knows the answer? Appretiate your help!

For example, when French (particularly) or Italian speakers attempt to speak English, in popular English-speaking culture this is regarded as a 'sexy' or 'romantic' accent. In contrast, some say that German speakers or speakers of Asian languages sound a bit unpleasant and harsh when speaking English.

In Chinese popular culture, how are foreign accents regarded?
Tibetans(西藏人), Uyghur (维吾尔), Mongolian (蒙古人), English/American, French, Japanese, Vietnamese (越南人).

Do they sound "awful", cute, annoying, stupid, sexy or just different?

In popular Chinese culture, which foreigners have the most highly regarded accent? Or do all foreign accents just sound bad?

no not like english cuz amaricans buchered it to much for world use and not any language that is know right now but one that is agreed on by all and made by all it is taught from kindergarten to all world colleges and use to make intrnatonial communication this would take years i know but think of the problems it would solve going to the store in china and buying fruit and then going to europe and geting pizza and then to califania to work there with out learning 2 to even 8 languages to get a job?

i am amarican i see the greatness of this idea we can all still learn and use are own language with each other but it would save time money and miss communications and miss understandings on al level that i cant even comprehend but also let the person you truely hate know what you are calling him lol

expain this to me why not if you disagree i want big stuff plus that goes for people that agree with me and say a problem that it would solve for you but still thick and jucie

The language is probably classified as a dead language as it is said that there are about 300 people in the world that know it. If not, is there any way whatsoever I can learn it - I myself am half Choctaw Native American and I want to preserve the culture.
