Since i was a kid i never spoke much, shy all the time, never had friends. and i don't read that much. But now i try to read, try to talk more,,,, But will this ever get me to have a broad vocab any time soon, or will i never be as good as someone who has been talkative since he was a kid? Cause i see kids now, and i see how talkative they are, and they know a bunch of words. I think to understand new vocab and feel comfortable with it i would have to use it alot, still to study and learn vocab takes me time.. days, weeks.. just to learn 5 or 10 words, plus there are Idioms and stuff .. so much i don't know. Will it take me like 20 years?

I love my accent it is Nigerian, Turkish , American. I would not trade it. I like the British accent I have family over there but I do not think it is the best. A lot of people beg to differ though itf you can give me a reasonable answer you get the 10 pts !

I would like to begin to learn some Scandinavian languages.

I have heard that Norwegian speakers can understand Danish and Swedish better than Danes or Swedes can understand each other or Norwegians, is this true? What would be the best Scandinavian language to learn, that would make learning others easier, and not more difficult?

With the proliferation of American english via the internet and satellite TV, and 'new' words being the same in every language e.g. texting, blogging etc will different languages ultimately give way to one, common one in say, 200 years time?
