The rule for riming in English is that the ictus syllable (the last syllable in the word which carries a main stress) must be identical in both words, any syllables which follow the ictus must also be identical, and that the consonant preceding the ictus must differ (this last part of the rule is sometimes forgotten by bad poets).

In 'air-conditioning' the ictus syllable is 'dit', so any words ending 'itioning' (but not 'ditioning') will rime.

Positioning

Requisitioning

Petitioning

but not Reconditiong (which breaks the third principle).

Because of the rather complex rules of elision in English poetry you could also get away with '[it's] a fishin' thing' as an acceptable rime. But this is not as good as the others.
