My mom love musical theater and reading. She has a funky sense of style. She's in her early 40s. I asked her what she wanted, and she said 'Don't spend your money on me!', but i know that come Christmas time, my mom will be bitter is she doesn;t get any presents. Mind you, I'm a fourteen year old working of a tight babysitting budget. So what should I do?
**ALSO** What should my dad get her... he's stumped too!

It seems an awkward question but my uncle who lives in Russia married a Christian woman 13 years ago and she refused to convert to Islam. They have one daughter and one son. He couldn't force his wife to convert and he didn't want to diveorce her because of his children. My uncle leaves hom early in the morning and goes back at night and he doesn't have a chance to see his children and teach them about Islam. The children stay with their mother and they think they are christians. They don't know anything about Islam.

Would it be more logical to have Islam passed by mother because the mother is the one who spends most of her time with her children and teaches them?

My manager made home made chocolate for everyone and put there names on it and gave it to everyone in our department.

Do u think I should eat it, what if she spit in it or something, I'm not sure how she feels about me as an employee because she rarely talks to me.

What is it that you like about it?
This year, due to the way I'm paid at work, I'll be one of those weekend-before Christmas shoppers. Any tips? Anything to avoid/look forward to?
{My father does it every year and my mom, sister and I always poke fun at him...we say that he goes to the annual "Men's shopping night" to hang out with his friends. lol.}

Thanks and Merry Christmas!
;-)

I have been dating a really wonderful man for a few months now. I have never been happier with anyone else and we are in love. My question is this: I want to get him something for Christmas, but I'm not sure if I'm leaning in the right direction. He lives in an efficiency apartment and has basically no dishes, no basic kitchenware, not too many bath supplies (he has these really tiny Army towels that I loath). His sheets are not that comfortable, etc. He's quite happy with himself because he was a bachelor for so long and did not feel as though he needed much. He's also in the Army and very minimalistic and basic when it comes to things. I want to get him something practical like kitchenware or really nice sheets or big fluffy towels, but I'm afraid he'll think that's too impersonal. What do you think?

My mom helped my kids make Christmas pillows for their teachers for Christmas (like the kind you would put on a couch). The kids put a lot of hard work into them, and I would like to let the teachers know that they aren't just store bought Christmas pillows that the kids actually put love and effort into them. I would like to attach the poem to the pillow. Whoever's poem gets used gets the best answer.

Thanks.

I read once in a parenting magazine that a check worth a week's salary is appropriate. I'm guessing that many people don't give that though....

A group of my friends are doing a secret santa this year, it's not really secret as everyone knows who's got everyone else. I have got my present for my person and made a light hearted remark to the person who has got mine about how I can't wait for us all to swap gifts. She told me (in all seriousness) that she'd run out of time to get me a gift and that I'll have to wait until January. I don't want to sound rude but I can't help feeling a bit dissappointed. We always go out for lunch and swap gifts and I can't help feeling that I'm going to be a bit left out - being the one person there with nothing to open. Plus we drew names a fortnight ago, and I know she went Christmas shopping the other day. Am I being unreasonable to be a bit annoyed or should I just be greatful that I'm getting something, regardless of when. Also, at the dinner, what should I do when everyone's swapping gifts and talking about what they've got?

My brothers and I usually make it hard to open eachother's gifts but I can think of what to do this year. We have put the presents in cement, on scavenger hunts, and in puzzles. I need more and interesting ways to give them their gifts? Any suggestions?
