Asalam Alaikum
I did some research and could not find anything that said marriage is created in heaven. But when the soul is brethed into the fetus his whole life is already written at that time.

Allaah sends the angel to breathe the soul into the foetus as was reported by ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Mas’ood, who said: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), who is the most truthful (of human beings) and his being truthful (is a fact) told us: ‘The constituents of one of you is gathered in his mother’s womb for forty days, then it becomes a clot of blood within another period of forty days. Then it becomes a lump of flesh, and forty days later, Allaah sends His angel to it to breathe into it the soul. The angel comes with instructions concerning four things, so the angel writes down his livelihood, his death, his deeds and whether he will doomed or blessed.” (Reported by Muslim, 1528).

Salaam Alaykum,
Our entire lives are predestined so in a sense yes and Umm Ali 's quote from this Hadith is true. Al Nisa is a good chapter of the Quran. And to the poster who stated that some are predestined to hell some asked the Prophet..''well if this is true why bother trying at all and was informed that to try their best anyway because they should live there lives as good Muslim's and please Allah SWT and this was better than doing nothing at all and follow into their fate blindly then the chance of receiving Allah's grace SWT.
Sorry for any errors this is from memory.
Wasalaam

I dont know what the quran says, but I believe it is true. I think you just have to be patient until your soulmate and you find each other. I was married before to a man I didn't love, but thought I would never find a better man so I married him. I finally found the courage after 17 years of neglect to divorce him. I found my soulmate 3 years later. He is from a different country, culture and religion, but he is truly like my 2nd half and with him I am complete. What are the odds that we would have met each other, fallen in love and married if this wasn't from God. We both truly believe that when we were born God chose the other for us. We just had to go through life's ordeals to find each other.

I dont think thats true, imagine i lived in chicago, and met a wonderful man that i would spend the rest of my life with. But if i lived somewhere else, maybe like Malaysia, i would fall in love with some one else, and i would never knew who the man in chicago is. i think most marriages happen to people who live close by.
