gift cards are always nice, but a little impersonal. I was a day care provider and normally I would receive lotions and things like that. Do you really know your day care provider? Is she really into education?? I always loved those parents that would give educational materials. Even if you buy her several classic books that are appropriate to whatever age she is caring for.

A cheque would be nice. Or you can book a spa, massage or a makeover for her, if it's a her. Maybe a dinner for 2 at a nice restaurant.

Forget that!
Get her a gift, such as a four leaf clover necklace for good luck.
Or get her a new or good condition cast iron horseshoe without rust with the U shape facing up for good luck.
