To me Christmas means spending time with family and giving. I love to see some ones face when I am able to give them something they really love or needed. most of all giving to others during this season that may not be as fortunate, my work has adopted a family with a sick child for the holidays and are purchasing everything on their Christmas list, if feels good to make someone else's holiday happy and full of joy!
Enjoy your holiday!

That God did the most amazing thing. To the Jews He had always said the Messiah was coming and would be born as a person. With Christmas, that promise was fulfilled.
I'm amazed at the total humility of Mary--she was clearly intelligent. When Gabriel brought her the news of what God wanted, she asked questions and got answers before merely accepting a supernatural being was of God. Though young, she didn't develop an attitude and did all that was ever asked of her. We don't have her on record EVER having a hissy or pride fit. To take us all on as our spiritual mother while given that charge by Jesus on the Cross without resenting all of us who made His death necessary. Totally mindblowing.
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph didn't have easy lives--not born into wealth. Number of times they had to flee or leave quickly is astonishing.
So, when life sucks, as it does frequently, it is worth recollecting that God literally did not make it any easier on Himself.
I've never had much money, so I don't get much or give much for Christmas. However, I will buy loved ones things when the opportunity arises. It's nice to give some kind of gift in honor of Christmas, but there are 364 other days a year when God expects us to be doing for our neighbors anyway.

About 30 days of irritatiing music-false niceness by people that otherwise can't stand you-11 months of debt buying stuff for "other" people, unneccasary depression-wack *** images of a fat white man in a red suit who never existed, but takes credit for your time, money, and energy you spent in those long lines and is allowed to break and enter into your home-a way to show off just how commercialized the Western world really is-besides Easter a reason to attend church for the second time in a year for an inactive Christian and to finally accept the lie or reality that is has nothing to do with God, Jesus, or religion!

To tell you the truth, not much any more. I used to be more in the Christmas spirit but now it is so commercialized that the "peace" of the season is completely gone. I 'play' along with the season, I go to the parties, decorate my house, send out the cards and buy the presents but admittedly it's not really in my heart anymore. Sorry, I know my answer is kind of a downer, but I wanted to answer you honestly.

But I try to live my Chrstmas with all the semplicirty I canIt is a moment to come back to my childhood, to my soul. it is the time of the year I feel a sort of inner peace. The thing I do not like about Christmas is all the shopping, running, noisy talking and false shining. but i try to live my Christmas with all the semplicity I can

I think Christmas is really about the children. I love Christmas, but I really do it all for the children. What greater pleasure than seeing childrens faces light up at Christmas time. xXx

Spending time with family, buying presents for people and seeing them enjoy them. I also like my Christmas dinner and all the trimmings, and getting a bit drunk then falling asleep in the evening. I also like having a couple of days off work.
I'm not religious in case you didn't guess lol

Spending time with my family. Having a few days off work. Eating a bit of special seasonal food. Watching more TV than usual. I know it should be a spiritual time but I am a non-believer.

Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, God the Son.
The angel said to them,
"Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For today in the city of David a savior has been born for you who is Messiah and Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger."
And suddenly there was a multitude of the heavenly host with the angel, praising God and saying:
"Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests."
(Luke 2:10-14)
With love in Christ.

this christmas is huge for me - my daughter is three and a half, - it means looking forward to seeing her face light up on christmas morning when she sees the tree drowning in presents, watching her play with her older cousin and little brother while we prepare dinner, all the special details that fill her with awe and delight as we experience the holiday!
Hope you all have as much joy and love this beautiful season!
