I have been dating a really wonderful man for a few months now. I have never been happier with anyone else and we are in love. My question is this: I want to get him something for Christmas, but I'm not sure if I'm leaning in the right direction. He lives in an efficiency apartment and has basically no dishes, no basic kitchenware, not too many bath supplies (he has these really tiny Army towels that I loath). His sheets are not that comfortable, etc. He's quite happy with himself because he was a bachelor for so long and did not feel as though he needed much. He's also in the Army and very minimalistic and basic when it comes to things. I want to get him something practical like kitchenware or really nice sheets or big fluffy towels, but I'm afraid he'll think that's too impersonal. What do you think?

I was in a sort of similar situation when I met my wife. She did all sorts of things for me and made me feel great. Don't be shy to buy him whatever you feel like as it would be something he would never have done for himself and you will make him feel both cared for and wanted. it takes a good woman to make a man really feel like a man and your intentions are good so just go with it. It worked for me! Good luck!

The man needs a good woman to show him that creature comforts are ok. Buy him some high thread count sheets(400+). Then you two can try them out. That sounds pretty personal to me!!

Are you getting these for him ...or for you....find what he likes...and buy him something impractical something he wants but never would buy for himself....if he wanted dishes..he would have bought them...the best present I ever received from my wife was that she developed rolls of film I had lying around for 10 years from college....
