My father in law is an 82 year old that is so hard to buy for, he doesnt need tools anymore and he doesnt like to get anything like colognes or bath stuff, he is the kind of guy if he needs something he will just go buy it, I am stumped on him every year at Christmas time, and so I usually put him off until last thing then run out and buy him something he dont like, any ideas would be very helpful? Thanks...

How do you and your family celebrate Christmas? How did you celebrate, when you were a child?

What good memories do you have, related to Christmas and this time of the year?

Which are your favourite Christmas traditions, foods, songs, movies...

What else can you tell me?

Thank you for sharing your life with me! :)

Have a wonderful weekend! :)

Please explain what holdings Christians have over it. I know it was converted to Christmas from the original pagan holiday(sorry, I don't know the name of it) in order to convert pagans to Christianity. I also know that historically Christ was not born in December but rather in April. Why do we not have a REAL Christmas in April? Isn't it a lie to celebrate a day that doesn't exist in that time frame? If so why is it so widely recognized as a Christian holiday eventhough it isn't?

Can anybody tell me about Brazilian Christmas? My wife and I like to travel out of the USA for Christmas and prefer to go places where Christmas is more of a public holiday than in the Anglo-American tradition. We have gone several times to Oaxaca, but this year we want to try something new.

Particularly for Cassandra, this link is HARDLY a broad example of conservatives bringing us "the controversy, trying to make tolerance and attempts to bridge distances between peoples into an attack on christmas. and they did do this despicable thing."

This is Jon Stewart vs. Bill O'Reilly...not much of a sampling of liberals vs. conservatives!!

I know its kinda early to be talking about Christmas, but i have to put together a Christmas dance recital. I need a some songs that aren't really slow. I already have Destiny Child's and B2K's Christmas. Are there any others? It doesnt have to be only hip-hop but it has to have a good beat.

I am not talking about getting bad health (touchwood). This is about the material gift you hate the most - mug, photoframe..you get the drift.

Trying to think of Christmas gifts to give to our employees. I was thinking of these towel warmers (along with other items). We live in the North East US and it gets quite cold! Several employees have pools or like to go camping too so we thought this might be a good idea (can use it for drying clothes, warming clothes, etc). Any feedback??

www.warmrails.com is the site with the towel warmers.

It's not being said to people as an insult, so why can't people who don't celebrate Christmas just let it go? I could care less if someone said "Happy Hanukkah" to me. I guess I just don't understand why people are so bent out of shape about it. It's ment to be a nice, pleasant thing. Well, if it creates controversy someone's gonna whine about it.
