Me and my family always celebrate days before Christmas giving foods and gifts to the needy people. We also celebrate parties before christmas in orphanage. We also go to church to hear the night mass before Christmas.

When I was a child, they used to put 8 socks for me hanged on the staircase where I get to put one wish per sock. One sock as they said is a request for Santa haha. As an only child, I get to open so much gifts from my parents. We eat candle light dinner together eating Turkey and other fine dishes which will be until 12 midnight. We have 45 mins. of fireworks inside the house and I kiss them exactly on the first hour of Christmas. Then, we start drinking chocolate drinks and desserts while opening the gifts with Christmas music playing in the whole house.

My favorite movie about Christmas is about Tim Allen where he portrayed as the Santa Claus and he had his son who was so stubborn. Its a very nice movie too. We watch Chrristmas movies in the home theater while waiting for the Christmastime to arrive after we eat dinner.

Oh.... how I love to celebrate it back home again this Christmas since now I am studying abroad- which means far away from home. Hope you enjoy my experience.

Christmas has always been the same for me and I'm thankful that it's the same old Christmas that I knew. We often go to the province to celebrate it and Christmas isn't always a "Silent Night." I enjoy decorating the tree, the house and placing presents under the beautiful tree and opening them. It's a time when all of us (not all) are together eating and drinking, having a good time. Sometimes, when our neighbors were too excited for New Year, they light up firecrackers and have a blast! It was so nice. The one thing I considered as a tradition for myself is the school's Christmas party before the holidays. Here's where I get to celebrate quality time with my classmates and friends before we enjoy the holidays. I like puto bungbong, that's a Filipino dish if you don't know. It's a purple rice cake with sugar, butter and coconut gratings or something like that. And here's the time I get awesome presents. Well, they're all not awesome. Humor me. I've always tried to catch a glimpse of Santa Clause everytime though. And if there's one wish I wanted granted, it would be to have snow in the Philippines. Mwuhahaha!!!

Christmas, there is nothing you couldn't like about Christmas. I love everything from seeing my girls all excited, decorating the tree, snow, and cookies. My favorite Christmas presents are not the ones I receive myself but the ones I give to others, its a great feeling. Although my favorite part, is the night of Christmas, when all the gifts have been opened and all the family has had their tummys full of wonderful home cooked food and everyone is just sitting around talking, telling stories and enjoying just being with everyone around them. The children are sitting in the floor going through all of their new toys and playing. Anymore people try to rush and just get it over with, and then Christmas comes and goes way to fast, so slow down and take the whole day to enjoy each and every minute, down to the last second of it.

I love Christmas and I have some wonderful memories from my past. I used to sing in the Christmas Choir at Church and that was so meaninful and so much fun. Alot of what I do every Christmas is I spend time with most of my good friends and then spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with my family. My friend Karen and I go up to Christmas Lane and look at all the houses that are totally decorated and lit up each year. After that we go back to her house and open our Christmas Gifts and just spend some quality time together.

My favorite Christmas Deserts are: pumpkin pie with whipped cream and Fudge!!! The shows I like to watch at Christmas time are:Santa and The Three Bears, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, The year without A Santa Claus, Santa Claus is coming to town, Frosty the Snowman, Home Alone and Home Alone 2...mostly I watch them all.

Well it's always been tradition in my family to have our big dinner on Christmas Eve. As a kid we always got to open one present Christmas Eve and it was always a new pair of PJ's to wear to bed that night so you could start Christmas morning in new pajamas. I've always loved the green bean casserole at dinner. I remember my mom and dad and grandmother a lot around the holidays. The are all in heaven now. I also HAVE to see the movie White Christmas sometime over the holidays.

I'm from Louisville Ky. but know live in Shelbyville, Ky. My favorite Christmas movie is National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation! That is sooo funny! My fav. food, is ham and turkey! Any X-mas song will do, it doesn't take much to get me in the mood because it's my favorite holiday and I absolutley LOVE snow! I live in a rather small town and we all get together in what is called "Light up Shelbyville" and they close the roads down and we all celebrate the holidays by lights, food, and carols! Thank you for asking!

My family never spends Christmas in the same house every year. We rotate homes so everyone gets the chance to have Christmas at their house. We pick a "themed" meal for Friday evening and everyone contributes (ie: barbequed ribs, favorite hotdog toppings, pizza . . . ). We play cards and board games and spend quality time together. We argue over politics, football and who has to do dishes. We laugh at who got the ugliest socks as a gift. We give Mom hell for baking all the Christmas goodies and giving them all to us when NONE of us need the extra calories (and then secretly go home and hide our stash).

I love everything about Christmas. The tree all decorated.Listening to christmas carols.Don't forget the food. When I was younger we'd all go Christmas Eve Mass and then come home and go to bed.As we got older we'd still go to Mass but we'd open our presents when we got home.Mom would make a turkey and she'd make home made stuffing. For movies I love Bells of St.Mary's,White Christmas,Miracle on 34th Street, and I love the movie with Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed and I can't remember what it is.
