Boycott any store than sells or advertizes:
-Christmas-related items before November 1 (decorations, toys, christmas trees, advertizing anything as a holiday-gift)
-Halloween-related items before October 1 (decorations, costumes, candy)
-school supplies before August 15 (and any other items, such as clothing, advertised in a back-to-school sale)

Mine was probably my Barbie Doll Dream House in 1960. It was cardboard, and the price tag said $5.95 (my mother was bad about never remember to take off the sticker). I loved that house though. Played with it for at least five years - almost every day. It was wonderful.

I'd like to have a gift exchange for the family this Christmas and it is too difficult to draw names. I'd like to do something where we have everyone bring a generic gift of $20-$25 but I want to tell people to keep them generic (i.e. non-gender specific). Any ideas?
