How's the view of Who-ville? Yeah, X-mas can get obnoxious when they put the swag up in the stores before Halloween, and the marketing gets relentless and then you have to prove your love for people by buying them things. That's the bad part. But it can be a peaceful time for reflection on the past year or catching up with old acquaintances. But usually it's less that and more the other. Maybe I need to rethink how I do X-mas. . .thanks for the idea. . .

I wouldn't say I hate it, but I hate that sometimes I feel so sad around Christmas because I miss my dad and Christmas makes me think about him a lot.

Hope you can find a way to not think about hating it so much!

I used to like it when the children were young and caught up in the santa thing. Now see it as something to be got through. It has become manufactured and commercial and boring and a chore all the things on the have to do list make it another stress factor.

I love Christmas, it is the one time of year that people are nice to each-other. Except for when they are shopping, then they are like rabid dogs, snipping and snarling and circling one another to find the best spot to take out the enemy so that they can have the perfect Christmas.

I love Christmas, but everyone strays away from the true meaning. I don't understand why people go out and spend their whole paycheck, savings and then even borrow money to buy these expensive gifts. Come January, they are all broke and going into foreclosure.

I don't hate it, but I don't love it either. My dad left on Boxing Day, the day after Christmas, and that pretty much killed the Christmas spirit for me. I prefer Halloween.

I don't exactly hate it.. but i always wish i was somewhere else when it is happening!!
I'm a single gal and find the whole thing very depressing. This year, i've picked up a part-time job and intend to do any hours they require to save me from boredom!!

When I looked at the background of Christmas and the lies involved with it, I chose not to celebrate.

An encyclopedia was very informative in this case, as it was for Easter (Even the name is from the goddess of fertility)
