Boycott any store than sells or advertizes:
-Christmas-related items before November 1 (decorations, toys, christmas trees, advertizing anything as a holiday-gift)
-Halloween-related items before October 1 (decorations, costumes, candy)
-school supplies before August 15 (and any other items, such as clothing, advertised in a back-to-school sale)

Costco brought out all their Christmas displays in AUGUST! I was aghast and appalled! I'm with you! Okay, here's the plan - we complain so much to the store managers that we make their lives miserable. Corporate America will continue to do as they damn well please but at least we had our say.

I can understand about the 1st one. but Halloween stuff before Oct. 1? what's wrong with you? some people do like to do Halloween stuff more than 1 month in advance, like people who throw Halloween parties. and school supplies before August 15? Newsflash! students start in mid-August now and need to get their stuff ready before then. I know this b/c this school year I started school on the 18/19 and started getting stuff from the 1st weekend in August through a couple of weeks ago (well, technically, since late May/early June, but I won't get into that). forget it, you're out of your mind.

Nope- Crafters and the like need several months to get ready for Halloween & Christmas. I start working on Halloween ideas in spring, and Christmas by June or July.

Not me! Some people only get paid once a month so maybe they have only one pay check before a certain holiday.
I start buying Christmas presents at the after holiday sales the week after Christmas.

Every store has them around then, so you wouldn't be able to shop for quite a while. As for the school supplies, I guess it depends on where you live. In Texas we start school in early August. August 15th would be after the beginning of school.

I agree with you but not on the scool suplies. my scool starts around the 20th and the closest store that sells cloths, back packs, shoes, ect is about 40 miles away.

NOT ME. I agree its annoying to see x-mas stuff in Oct but now that I have kids I start in Oct that way I can get everything I need without fighting the crowds.

I buy all that stuff after the holiday when it's 50% off or more. Cheap, I know, but smart too!
