I do not want to hear from anyone who is celebrating this day or has somewhere to go. I only want answers from people who believe that christmas has become too commercial and people have become really fake over the holidays pretending they care when in truth they dont, doing things out of obligation, spending money they dont have just to look good in front of others....etc. If you celebrate than fine with you congradulations. But I really only want to hear from people who do NOT celebrate, who treat this day as any other day. Who share my feelings

I need LOTS of gift ideas for my boyfriend, 23. We've been dating almost 4 years now. I'm looking for something in the $50-$100 range. He likes to fish, golf and watch college football (buckeye fan) but he's really hard to buy for. He's got a lot of stuff...can't think of anything that he "wants" so what do you get someone who has "everything?"

As a person with no children but young nieces that like to spend Christmas with you, do you think is it fair that you are expected to work whilst people with Children get the time off- even if you worked last Christmas and let them have the summer holidays off this year?

It makes some people sad, and people spend LOADS of money on gifts that most people don't need. Isn't that a waste of resources?

Need help figuring out what to get my little brother. He is 13 and he's an unusual kid. He's quiet, nerdy, and kind of a problem child. He's not into sports, music, clothes, or anything else that a typical teenage boy would be into. His mother isn't much help with suggestions, and I am completely at a loss. I thought about a gift card someplace, but he just doesn't really like anything all that much?? Any suggestions?

It is me and my b/f's first christmas. And the few things that I was going to get him, he got a few weeks ago for himself. He has money, so if he wants something, he buys it. Or he puts it on a credit card. He is going to mexico for 2 weeks and is leaving on the 20th. I will be visiting my family during that time in Missouri, and have spoke to someone about having my pictures taken professionally and very cheap... photos maybe??? We can always do it when he gets back, but what do you get for someone who has everything? I am usually good with gifts, but I am stumped on this one, and really don't have alot of time to figure something out... PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Sometimes, we have people over and / or go to see friends, family (you know the drill) - Sometimes they will present me or us with a gift and I have nothing to present to them. I feel like a jackass accepting the gift, but I would look bad refusing too. This HAD to have happened to a handful of you - what happened? Do you go and get them something and try to ease your guilt, or what?

We have the regular ones - like hauling out the same ornaments year after year - and the littlest family member putting the angel on the top of the tree. But - my sister - on Thanksgiving - positions the uncooked turkey in a stand-up position and makes it do a song and dance. She does it every year and everybody loves to see it. Do you have any odd Holiday traditions like that?

I've just wondered how it is that someone who is dirt poor and looking for help and everything else can afford monthly internet access. That doesn't come cheap at all. Anyone else who was seriously lacking in funds would have those services cut off, and it happens every day. Shelter, clothing, food and transportation should be the #1 priorities. Once those are taken care of, everything else is a luxury.

I've noticed the same thing happening in everyday real life too.
